Instructor Certification Prerequisites
This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blendedlearning course consisting of online content, a precourse skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. For more information, please reference the attachment you will receive via e-mail when you register for this course.

Students MUST complete the online portion of the course PRIOR to the classroom skills session. An email will be sent to each student upon registration with instructions for the class registered. For Basic Level & BLS Courses, this email (as well as the email with the attached ticket) will include a link for the online portion of the blended learning courses. Please remember to check your email’s Spam or Junk folder in case the emails do not go directly to your inbox. On the day of the course, you will need to provide proof of completion for the online course
(copy of certificate, email of completion, or picture of email or certificate)
